Did that braying jackass mean to say that the policy of the US administration is to allow Iran to enrich to 90%, and that would be OK because getting the bomb mechanism is the tough part? If so, and Romney should challenge Obama on this in the debate, then it is a very dangerous position indeed, and makes a blatant lie out of "We've got your back". Assembling the mechanism is only a matter of having the right plans, obtainable, or already obtained from A Q Khan, or one of his clients. The Manhattan project was a vast endeavour precisely because of the difficulty of enriching the fissile material. Once obtained, it is only a matter of time before it can be assembled into a bomb package. The U235 could be easily dispersed and hidden until the assembly is ready. A demonstration bomb, a la North Korea, would seal the invulnerability of Iran to non-nuclear attack. This administration is a collection of uncaring hyenas and zombies.
