I hope you have since realized what the problem with this isReader comment on item: Reflections on the Second Presidential Candidates' Debate Submitted by sara (United States), Oct 25, 2012 at 18:32 Yes, Obama mentioned the word terror the day after the attacks in his Rose Garden speech. You and Candy Crowley are right. BUT, he then went on to Las Vegas to campaign and sent his surrogates out for 2 full weeks saying that it was a spontaneous attack from the video (when we now know he had seen video of the attacks showing that the streets were empty before the attack). He referred to the video being the culprit in his speech to the UN, in his fluff interview on the View, his spokespeople, etc. That is the FACT that does not wash. and following the sworn testimonies of his national security staff who testified that they knew what was happening on the ground almost in real time, we can safely assume that he was purposely distorting and omitting information from the American people. The only question left to ask is- why? (and the other question is- why did they pull back the security details in august and not replace them despite many urgent requests) Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
