Dear Dr Pipes,

your reader from Australia said that Hamas cared less for its people than Israel. No statement can be closer to truth than this. In fact, the Islamic world does not seem to care for life and dignity of its own people. This is indicated by the fact that there is simply no significant call for non-violence from the Islamic quarters when Muslim people are killed by other Muslims (such as what is going on in Syria). The funny thing is that when Islamic terrorists kill non-Muslims, Islamic apologists make perfunctory statements like Islam is religion of peace but when Muslims kill other Muslims no one makes even those perfunctory statements.
