Obama going after an Israeli smokescreen

What will be very interesting is the reaction of western chancelleries, and foremost among them Obama, in from of the extreme complexity of the Israeli body political.... It seems to me that the exact configuration that came out of the polls is precisely that which presents Obama with the most difficulty. He can't push hard because if there was any fracturing on the negotiation front there would be new elections. He has lost a lot of leverage here, because he can't afford to make Netanyahu whom he might hate, a victim of the US.

In a way the Israeli Knesset now represents a mapping of the US Congress. How Ironic !
