Q5:33 takes away every inch that Q5:32 gives

Dear Dr Pipes:

Q5:32 is a very kind verse if we assume that killing and not-killing human beings should be a matter of routine discussion. DNM said that Q5:32 is not sufficiently kind because it applies only to the Children of Israel. DNM did not read deep enough. He did not go to Q5:33. I once investigated this issue deeply and read at least 4 or 5 different translations to understand Q5:32.

I honestly wanted Q5:32 to hold because if it were to exist without exceptions, it can indeed be a basis on which a case can be built for non-violence. But, alas, I was not so lucky. The author of Q5:32 (Allah) was not very patient. He took away every inch that he yielded in Q5:32. I hope I am wrong here. I sincerely want to be wrong here but Q5;33 specifically recommends very severe violence against those who fight against Allah or his prophet. Please read Q5:33. It makes me very sad and I sincerely want to be wrong here but such is not the case.
