Those rash young men (and women)Reader comment on item: Intricacies of Egypt's Coup d'état Explained Submitted by Jeff (United States), Sep 3, 2013 at 13:15 Great article in the Atlantic. This is pretty much the kind of criticism that got Mr. and Mrs. Forouhar murdered by their government in Iran, under that system you put your money on. The author of the Atlantic article, on the other hand, is perfectly safe, as is your multi-millionare, capitalist, one-percenter, man-of -the-people hero, Noam Chomsky. I read the Atlantic article twice and find nothing in it that supports your contention that Ibragim Todashev was shot because the color of his skin was white. Could you point that out for me? So Winston Churchill, who you say was one of the greats, was a rash young man? So was Bradley Manning. Back when he was a man named Bradley. Bradley Manning wasn't tortured any more than Winston Churchill was. I know, the Al Qeada handbook instructs you to always say you were tortured, no matter what. And it's easy, cheap and fun to throw that out as an excuse when you don't like what your hero says. But there are lots of prisoners put on suicide watch, and none of them ever claimed it was torture until the Bradley Manning Fan Club came along. And he's not your hero. She's your heroine. She's one of the greats, so be polite.
