Lustick is correctReader comment on item: Give Up on the Two-State Solution? Other Ideas Submitted by y Brandstetter MD (Israel), Sep 24, 2013 at 05:39 Lustick assumption that the two state solution west of the Jordan is dead, is most likely correct. After all' its beeen suggested and implemented repeatedly since 1922, only to fail in a shower of blood. However, his solution, the one sate where Arabs and Jews somehow live together following a major civil war among the Jews (he mentions that eventuality in his 2002 interview) was tried and failed, a quarter century of British mandate which see-sawed between its formal obligation to the Jewish homeland and its capitulatiojn to Arab violence. We know how that ended. An exchange of refugees, the Arabs forcing a mass migration of Jews, and the partially forced migration of arabs out of the Jewish State. For some reason Lustick thinks that a repeat of that first experimen, the Jewish state being ten-fod the number, and a hundredfold the economic and military power, the Jews will give up and flee. Nor does he provide the willing recipients of six million Jews. This is not loopy. This is antisemitic as it getss.
