As much a threat as communism was

Mr. Pipes is absolutely correct when he maintains that militant Islam is as much a threat as communism was. And the political correctness employed by the Bush Administration is downright sickening. The liberal influences that drive much of the perspective in the US is at the forefront with respect to militant Islam --ie-- rather than offend the relatively few Middle Eastern male air passengers by profiling them, the liberal philosphy is to make all air passengers equally miserable. And for President Bush to maintain that Islam means "peace" is to blatantly ignore the record of militant Islam since 1990 and the deafening silence from the overall Islamic population which accompanies it.
