Clarification for the comment i sent a few hours ago

The judjement on your article has to do with the actual will of the US to protect Cyprus as you suggest, on the rest of the article i completely agree and i consider that your analysis is correct, but my questions have to do with the motivations of the US government, i am sure that you have a better insight of those motivations and perhaps you would be able to answer some or ask them to other people who might give you answers
