Munich Appeasement – All Over Again, This Time in Geneva!

As we "celebrate" the sad anniversary of the Munich dirty deal 75 years ago, it is appropriate to ask: did the world learn from that disaster? Do our governments toil day and night to avoid and avert a similar tragedy today? But they didn't and don't!

In fact, today the combination of evil and incompetent emissaries in Geneva are preparing a XXI century version of the "Peace For Our Time" betrayal, that may well dwarf the "achievements" of the WWII that followed the Munich cahoot – 50-to-80 million fatalities, Jewish Holocaust, and untold world-wide sufferings. Any way you take it – the geo-strategic situation, the acting parties and personalities, the past vs potential aggressors and victims – everything fits as never better the striking analogy between the 1938 and 2013 political crimes at the highest level.

But the people in Geneva should remember the old adage: those who sow the wind - reap the whirlwind. And as well, they should remember two meaningful differences from 1938. On the one hand, today's deal has a distinct nuclear flavor to it, that magnifies the 1938 catastrophe many times. On the other hand, the present potential victim, Israel, has the will and the means to defend her people, unlike Czechoslovakia in 1938.

Let us hope and pray that Israel didn't have to use this option, but if cornered, then used it without hesitation.
