The Emperor and his clothes

I certainly understand the plight of American Jewry, mostly caused by inept leadership. So yes, Jewish laity cares less now because they have not been led to care, and are comfortable as well as accepted. I noted many American Jews first became engaged when Israel projected a winning image during the wars of a few decades ago. As reality becomes more clear, as it was then, I suspect today's picture will change, and I hope, today's American Jewish "leaders" will be replaced by those who can lead, as the situation arises that enables that change. This situation should also play out similarly in the general American population. It will be interesting to see how those for whom their freedom has been a Jewish fight will respond to the Jewish and world-wide fight for Freedom. I include in the African-American community Bishop T.D. Jakes , Jesse Jackson, President Obama, Rev Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan. Then, it will be interesting to see the American Jewish response when these Emperors are revealed -- clothed in their true attitudes. I truly hope we are all on the same side; but seeing who befriends who is essential -- especially when essential.
