Obama turns on America - and its friends

A few days ago, during the same week that Iran celebrated the takeover of America's embassy 34 years ago, tens of thousands of demonstrators stood outside the former embassy building and held the biggest anti-U.S. rally in years. Their newspapers claimed "millions of people participated." To rub salt on the wound, their leaders designated Nov. 4 as a "National Day against Global Arrogance."

Their powerful Iranian Revolutionary Guards website posted the slogan "Death to America," and others created new anti-U.S. Islamic songs a few days before the protests. That same week Iranian state television aired a computer-animated video that showed an imagined Iranian missile strike on Israeli cities including Tel Aviv and Dimona, malls and IDF bases.

How does the world's strongest country respond? By planning to lift sanctions against Iran for nothing in return, not even "respect." The result is that not only do we let Iran's spit in our face, but we present them with a Reward, telling them to "run along and be good." Our next president will have a lot of cleaning up to do, assuming the typhoon of hatred he hopes we now ignore hasn't by then engulfed our homeland or those of our few remaining friends.
