Isn't it late for that?Reader comment on item: Chris Christie and the "Occupied Territories" Incident Submitted by Jason Pappas (United States), Apr 4, 2014 at 10:08 I use the phrase "Judea and Samaria" but few understand me. The media has used "occupied territories" for decades. After Bush threw Israel under the bus, when he unilaterally declared his support for a "two state solution," Judea and Samaria became slated for the future state of "Palestine." This lent support to the idea that it would be illegitimate for Israel to impose Israeli rule; and thus "occupied" became a plausible description. Now if we adopt Caroline Glick's proposal of extending Israeli law to all of the West Bank, Judea and Samaria are no more occupied than California. I've called California "liberated territory."
