The Nuclear option, prayer, hope and change

There is no good conventional military or political solution to the ISIS-led and catalyzed Sunni jihadist- motivated breakup of Iraq and Syria.

Islam or Islamism may be viewed metaphorically and pragmatically as a malignancy or at least of having malignant degenerative potential and need for careful observation. Cancers are managed with radical surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, biological targeted therapies, nutritional support, and prayers. Precancerous lesions are much more easily removed There are always side effects to anticancer therapy but hopefully eventually a recovery and a longer life, hopefully disease free or cured. Cancers get harder to manage and may become impossible to manage if ignored or under treated. Sometimes Islam is dormant or slowly growing and spreads without causing alarming damage. At other times its metastatic spread ad transformation to Islamism is virulent, aggressive, and rapidly destabilizing, eg 9/11 or London and Madrid transport bombings or the daily bombs in Pakistan, Iraq, etc or kidnappings and murders by Boko Haram, etc.

I hope that nuclear powers will consider the nuclear option and citizens will ask if "all options on the table" explicitly includes the nuclear option. Otherwise ISIS (and the Iran axis Shite tumor mass) will continue to become even bigger problems. I expect a virtual/actual Caliphate that includes the areas controlled by ISIS, Taliban, Boka Haram, AQIP, MB, and in the hearts and minds of many radical Muslims.

I feel sorry for all the displaced people and the suffering but Islam itself may be viewed as a root cause of human disorganization and suffering. I predict Kurdistan will emerge as the most stable and successful part of the former Iraq. The Big Lie that Israel is the root cause of Mid East instability is being laid bare once again by the brutality and popularity of ISIS and its supporters.

Has WW III started (during the 47th anniversary of the Six Day War)? That June of 1967 defeat of the armies and air forces of Egypt, Syria, and Jordan and some Arab forces from Iraq and N. Africa was clearly by the grace of God. But also the result of Jewish cohesiveness, decisiveness and determination (conceptually ain brera or no other choice in Hebrew). Obama, Kerry, the EU, and al Maliki, etc don't strike me as having decisive inclinations or conceptually correct thinking. Let us hope and pray for a swift defeat of evil for a change. But I think that unless there is Divine intervention, WW III has just started and world leadership will fail and appease even worse than during the early days of WW II..
