Militant Islam

Having studied Islam, having married a Muslim and having attended the mosque for several years, it is clear to me that the TRUE followers of Islam are the militants. They are doing exactly what the Qu'ran encourages them to do. The Qu'ran is a product of a warrior who may have indeed felt a calling from God, but then began to create verses to accommodate himself as well as to accomplish his goal of subjugating the various tribes.

I give moderate Muslims credit for ignoring the more violent verses of the Quran while, unfortunately, the radical Muslims take those verses as license to kill the infidels, especially the Jews, and, thus, achieve martyrdom. I was shocked on my first reading of the Quran by how very anti-Jewish it was. How can we expect Muslims to love Jews when their own book tells them, chapter after chapter, how bad the Jews are and they deserve to be slaughtered?? If you take this book in the context of the century in which it was created, some allowances can be made BUT Muslims around the world don't consider the Quran from a historical persepective.

The Quran is also heavy on hell fire and punishment. Perhaps the superstitious bedouin needed the fear of God to encourage an entirely different kind of behavior so perhaps the Qu'ran served its purpose...but the thinking of Muslims has not evolved. When a Muslim sister told me to close the circle tighter because if we didn't make a tighter circle, Satan would be joining us for dinner, I knew Islam was not for me. And when I was told that if I converted to Islam, I could never leave on penalty of death...I knew this wasn't a religion from God.

I fear greatly for this multi-cultural mindset of Americans, especially when it comes to those who would use our open, democratic society to slowly strangle and destroy us. Americans are naive. Once the radical element gets a foothold in our country, the moderate Muslims will be too afraid to speak up and the radicals will take over. It seems impossible that any religion could get so much control in our country, but Islam is a very unique belief system which believes that Allah wants all of humanity to be Muslim and its followers feel that they have a sacred duty to Allah to make sure this happens. In addition, they will be rewarded by Allah for every infidel they kill who does not convert. This religion is dangerous and we should start paying attention and push it out or at least contain it.
