BROKER, CEASE FIRE, FRUSTRATION, STRATEGY AND SCARY FUTUREReader comment on item: Daniel Pipes: "I don't know of a single Jewish Israeli who wants the warfare to go on!" Submitted by JACQUES HADIDA (United States), Aug 28, 2014 at 19:58 A broker in any situation is a person or a party that is neutral and unbiased . When you suggest whether ther is a place for Turkey to be a broker, I am sorry to say that Turkey Is on Hamas side. As for cease fire, if you remember, the one before the last was broken when Qatar forced Meshaal To call Dief and ask him to break it otherwise he was going to be kicked out of Qatar. It is thanks to this phone call that Israel located Dief and bombarded his house . Yes there is frustration in Israel because Operation Protective Edge did not succeed. Hamas may be right to claim victory as they have not been disarmed nor demilitarized. One may wonder, what did Israel get out of this 50 day war? Fatah may end up to be the only winner if indeed they take control of the follow up. By the way if Hamas is smart, they should keep quiet for another year, regroup, rebuild, rearm And then go back to square one and bombard Israel again. I am sure Israel knows this and They have no choice but sit and wait. HamaĆ goal will not change. The eradication of Israel is and will remain in their agenda. The scary future is if ISIS keeps on strengthening to the point of coming to Hamas rescue, then the problem is different. Does anyone think of that possibility? The way I see it is that There is no end to this mess and no leader can come up with an answer. I have been working on one, but who will listen to me?
