Propaganda against Islam's public and political standsReader comment on item: Daniel Pipes: "I don't know of a single Jewish Israeli who wants the warfare to go on!" Submitted by Prashant (United States), Sep 5, 2014 at 00:04 Dear Dr Pipes, You quite correctly said that Israel resorts to a variety of tactics against its enemies who are violent and who offer no platform for negotiation or peace. One tactic that the world, however, does not follow is the tactic of relentless propaganda against political Islam. Spirituality is good for human beings and every humen being --muslim or otherwise-- must be encouraged to follow his/her spiritual path IN PRIVATE. But anytime a public stand of a religion adversely effects the well being of the followers of other religions, each one of us needs to stand up and speak. Proganda worked during the cold war against the communists. It will also work against the Islamists. Every instance where Muslims offer fewer rights to minorities in their countries but demand more rights in free societies must be highlighted and discussed. Every instance where Islamic calls to prayers at odd hours cause trouble for general population must be discussed and opposed. Every instance where Islamic laws of marriage defy symmetry must be highlighted and discussed. Any effort by Islamic militias to create a government using violence must be opposed. Any example of ethnocentrism by Islamists must be as vehemently opposed as an example of ethnocentrism by anyone else. Unless we are willing to fight this battle on an ideological basis, we will not challenge the islamists the right way.
