Might not work

Arabs have already stated that they would view a Kurdish state as another nakba. Result: A Kurdish state would become a target for terrorists and would experience never-ending attempts to destroy it. A federal system with a quasi-independent Kurdistan that has the formal agreement of the Iraqi government might, in my opinion, work better for the Kurds and for stability.
