Conflict with Biblical Linkage Indeed - Isaac Inherited the Promise of the Land - Not IshmaelReader comment on item: Endorsements of the Arab-Israeli "Linkage" Theory Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Oct 17, 2014 at 12:56 It would be a misstated observation to say that Sec of State Kerry is attempting to put his own designs on the Middle East process, since he was not the first, nor second or third to proffer a two-state solution in order to achieve peace in the region. To say that he is continuing a fool's errand is more in touch with why the process never seems to achieve anything except more promises to 'wipe Israel off the face of the earth.' Sec of State Kerry's mission as explained in the earlier topic mentioned in this one is the overall fascination/fixation to deal with Israel, but only on the terms fixed in the minds of the American Administrative Executive's office. Much to their chagrin, it is still a fool's errand and they are playing the game with impunity. As far as whether linkage is made by heads of state or their designates, opinions abound without knowledge of even the most basic understanding of why the Middle East is such a millstone around so many necks; and why are so many oblivious to the causes or their rationale. Simply stated; it is a result of a family feud that goes back to the envy created when the son of the promise was instituted as the true heir over the son of bondage. Add to that envy the modern recklessness of pride and now one may appreciate why Sec of State Kerry is the latest in a long line of politicized social arbiters that have no clue to understanding why they will accomplish nothing more than the next world war. Amateurs, one has said: if only that they were. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
