PM Holland and "The oldest conflict in the region"

Is Holland referring to the Roman-Jewish conflict of 72 CE? Someone should tell him it was (temporarily) solved by Titus but reversed by Ben Gurion.

Or maybe he's thinking about Byzantium vs. the Arab invaders?
