BrigadoonReader comment on item: Congress: Stop Subsidizing Biased Middle East Studies Submitted by Michael S (United States), Dec 4, 2014 at 11:55 Shalom Jana "Happy Clappy". It sounds sort of funny. I've been to church three times this year: twice for funerals, and once to hear a friend teach. That's a record for me -- haven't been to church that much since 1997; so I'm out of touch with the "happy clappy" set. I do kiddush, eat, sing and study Torah twice a month with some Hebrew Roots friends, and get together with friends to eat, sing and pray twice a month. That's how we get together here, both Jewish and Gentile believers. You mentioned "Looking for Yeshua's appearing". I don't do that -- I don't know where to look, and I don't know what to look for. I'm 66, and I reckon Zechariah 14 will break loose in, say, ten years -- when I'm 76, if I live that long. Zechariah says that will be a nuclear war: Zech 14: I don't live in a major urban area, so I don't expect to be in a blast zone. I do expect services to be severely disrupted, though, especially is an EMP device is employed. When this happens, people will be suffering; and some will be crying out to God for help. Many of these will be innocent children. Where do you suppose God will want His people to be when this happens? I imagine He would want them right here, minisering to peoples' needs and suffering with them. Where will "Yeshua's appearing" be in all this? I dare say, it will be in his people, his body, doing his will. Then, if I die in his service, he will welcome me into the eternal community. This is what I look forward to, if God doesn't call me home before then. I imagine that will be sort of a "Brigadoon" experience. God bless and keep you.
