The EU is the largest threat to Israel

The European Union didn't exist in the 1920s, so they weren't actually "taking back" anything. On the other hand, the EU (and its predecessor, the EEC and other communities) has been growing steadily since the late 1940s -- at the expense of the USSR, the British Empire and other previous formations -- and has become the largest trading bloc in the world. It is the largest threat to Israel -- and to anyone else, for that matter -- in the coming years.
