No alliance yetReader comment on item: Catching Up on Libya Submitted by Michael S (United States), Jan 5, 2015 at 01:08 Hi, Lujack. I see that the ball's in my court, in this thread. Yes, Russia certainly has been busy on the diplomatic circuit -- and so have Obama, Abe, Xi and other world leaders. What this will all amount to, I don't know. The most intriguing subject, with regard to the Ezekiel 38-39 prophecy you're obviously alluding to, is the situation of Sudan. They consider Iran as a "strategic partner", consider the Turks and Qataris "allies"; and are courting the Egyptians and Saudis, hat in hand. They are alleged to have smuggled arms to Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, and Libya Dawn, all groups which in the past have been connected with Turkey and Qatar; but they have also allowed the Iranians to use their port as a transfer point for arms to Iran's clients in the area. Besides their Muslim connections, they are alleged to be supplying weapons to Riek Machar, the Christian rebel leader in South Sudan, and Joseph Kony, a Christian rebel leader fighting Uganda and its allies. Turkey and Iran are very much at odds, yet, about Syrian President Bashar al Assad. Until that situation gets resolved, I doubt that we will see an alliance between the Turks and Persians.
