Very Insightful, but not Universal

I have noticed the pattern Dr. Pipes notes in this article myself in observing Arabs and Israelis during the Gaza war this past Summer 2014 observe a greater decorum and respect for each other than most of the other people I knew who debated the conflict.

However, I also lost at least one (Palestinian) friend because I would not tolerate the anti-Semitism that she and her family members directed to me as an American Jew both before and after her cousin was the Arab boy infamously immolated alive by Jewish Israeli extremists.
