Dan is right but only for conventional air powerReader comment on item: How Much Can Air Power Achieve? Submitted by Yususf (United States), Apr 6, 2015 at 21:33 Israel, for example, could take out Iran's nuclear threat by air and missle power alone. 1) EMP over regions of interest that were at least 160 square miles. 2) Hiroshima size Nuke wrapped in cobalt over specific targets, eg Fordo and 1-2 oil ports. The several square mile area around such targets would be heavily radioactive for several decades or longer. 3) Conventional bomb or missle strike on main gasoline refinery. Result 1): Loss of electricity, electromechanical devices, electronics. People inside the underground complexes can't get resupplied or exit/reenter. Result from 2: loss of key personel, transport of products from sites. Result 3) Economic downslide, lfailed state, many Iranians leave Iran. In summary: Iran's purported nuclear infrastructure is neutralized for decades. The Sunnis can use ground forces, if so they desire, to mop up.
