It really is ho-hum lately. Caliphate not radical enough?Reader comment on item: How Much Can Air Power Achieve? Submitted by Michael S (United States), May 7, 2015 at 21:45 Hi, Tovey Your first paragraph is hard to read. I diagrammed it as: Subject: Many I can't make out the rest. Moving on, you said, "Life today is anything but ho-hum..." That's the gist of what you said. Actually, not much is happening on the ground. The most interesting story I read today, is the DEBKA "exclusive" that Pres. Obama plans to back recognition of Palestinian statehood in the UN Security Council: As with most articles in DEBKA, we'll wait and see if and how that pans out. Meanwhile, my brand-new computer is sluggish, and I have to fix a light on the patio. The situation in China is also very troubling. I'm sure the BBC report will be about David Cameron almost getting a majority; and Israel watchers will note that Bibi Netanyahu will have only a one seat majority; but honestly, I can't get excited about either election. As I said before, "Ho hum". If you want some really cute news, the Islamic Caliphate has just sentenced four of its own people to death for "religious extremism". The four apparently have been going around preaching that Al-Baghdadi and the ISIL leadership are "polytheists". It's really tough, being an Islamist radical: When you get to the top, there are four others trying to prove that they're more radical than you are! Supper time. Shalom shalom :-)
