Pluses and minusesReader comment on item: The Iran Deal Is 'Bizarre' and 'Wretched' Submitted by Anon (United States), Jul 19, 2015 at 01:55 The deal should have perhaps included a clause that asks Iran to withdraw its support for any proxies against Israel that it funds. However I doubt Iran would abuse the current deal and do a nuclear weapon so Saudis should really have no reason to look for nuclear options. On the bright side the things in favor are Iran's demographics and pro Western populace that are natural enemies of the worst actors in the middle east from Saudi Arabia to PAkistan to Isis. In the long run countries like Saudi arabia and Pakistan are the real unplacatable foes of Israel. It is not inconceivable to imagine ISrael and Iran relations thawing at some point.
