Michael your understanding of Gnosis is very poor may be a good start get a copy of The Gospel of Thomas and read the great commentaries by Marvin Meyer and Harold Bloom and if you still don't get it then you are beyond help. Gnosis influenced all religions in the late antique as well as the early medieval period until orthodoxy took over to the great loss of all of humanity
