comments on commentsReader comment on item: The Iran Deal Is 'Bizarre' and 'Wretched' Submitted by Mohammed Waza Khiddif Id'ullah (Australia), Aug 22, 2015 at 08:40 ".... Gnostics, with a capital "G", believed Jesus was the guru of an esoteric cult, who had the "hidden wisdom"." He did say that the Kingdom of Heaven is within you. It is literally true. He knew it and showed others the possibility of enlightenment. But of course there's no way or need for me to convince you of that. "...If you've been flooded with non-European immigrants, all I can say is, "Welcome to America!" ..." Certainly it has its benefits but it's not all good. One wonders why the same thing is not occuring in non-white countries. "I believed in family, marriage and such-like, and she was supporting free sex and abortion." Hard to reconcile that with her being Catholic. "...When a horde of people is moving one way, I want to be going the other way..." That makes sense.. and explains why you never hear of an agoraphobic's convention. "...Trust me, German-Belgian-Irish looks English...." Not to , German, Belgian or Irish. Genetically though pockets of Wales and England still retain their pre-Roman and pre-Angle, Jute, Saxon celtic roots. "..I dare say, the "Old Australians" of today are as different from the Old Aussies of the '60s as they are from the Chinese-Australians or Lebanese-Australians.." Old Australians , like I guess old Americans , old Germans, old Brits and old Finns can turn ito grumpy old bastards - so those are still around. It's not a 'given' though - one doesn't have to become one of them despite the myriad of seemingly perfectly good reasons for doing so. So yes and no - amongst anglo-Australians there's still the sense of fair play and that tends to rub off on non-Caucasian newcomers as they realise they need to fit in. You get Vietnamese Australians born here , growing up in the western suburbs with the broadest Australian accents and mannerisms. "..If you seek to be in sync with God, you will find yourself out of sync with everyone else. Just look at the Jews, who spent 2000 years trying to "get along" and "blend in"." If you are in sync with Truth or wholeness you are automatically in sync with the part of people that many spend much time and effort trying to run away from or ignore. "........a man's enemies are the men of his own house." Yes - siblings can be real problems at times. "...Still, I thought it was ironic that my son should have a Russian friend..." I've lived in a former Soviet republic for an extended period. The Russians are like everyone else - some are class 1 a-holes - and some are very intelligent , goodhearted, genuine down to earth people. "...The colonists, on the other hand, bathed about once a year..." Now, THAT'S English - and one of the reasons I make the distinction between them und andere Nord West Europäischer volk. "..None of this will end well. " On its present course - it simply cannot. "...I dare say, though, that Westerners look as ugly to Muslims as they do to us." It's not a matter of cultural relativism . By almost any measure, muslim/arab culture is inherently backward and regressive. If you're talking abou physical appearance - then why the hankering of arabs for European women? "..They also brought useful items with them: steel plows and axes, and the ability to produce warm woolen blankets. The Indians they met, on the other hand, had little in the line of clothing;.." Always the way isn't it? People with a superior technlogy meet people with inferior technologies - and they win. Happened in Far East Russia, Canada, Britannia, Australia , all through Africa, South America and the US, "..The colonists, on the other hand, bathed about once a year. They got married in June, because May was bath month..." I know enough about US geography to know the north east is cold and very wet at times. Hopefully some of them availed themselves of the conditions and had better hygiene than their immediate forebears. "..I'm practically a hermit, believe I have no intrinsic rights, and would have no idea about how to file a lawsuit. .." Sometimes it's good to be a hermit - especially when you realise the world doesn't really have much for you and when it comes down to brass tacks, society doesn't really and indeed cannot , give a flying you know what about you.
