Alghabra - my response to Trudeau's decision

I have sent this letter to Trudeau this morning, I will do the same to Alghabra and my MP Karen Vecchio, PC

I have just learned of your decision to appoint Omar Alghabrah to the post of parliamentary Secretary.

This is NOT Acceptable. This is a man who comes from a country that does not value women. Saudi-Arabia is the only country in the world who do not allow women to drive. They are forced to wear a veil, to cover their body. You have appointed a man who does not respect the values of women in Canada, he does not respect the values of our country. He has tried to obtain legal status for Shariah law. You are a very inexperience and naive man to think that he will not squirm his way into more prominent positions. Indeed, he was heard to say that : »Islam is in the East , in the West, Mississauga is ours, « Now, most likely Canada is next on his personal agenda!

It is absolutely irrelevant that this man is your best friend. It does not come into play when it comes to running Canada. You have made a grave mistake, and at the same time, demonstrated how irrational and unprepared you are to lead this country. Having had your father being Prime Minister does not guarantee you will understand politics. The knowledge of running a country is acquired by hard work and years of learning from other MP's certainly not a case of learning by osmosis!

Appointing this man to this very important position is in essence, slapping the face of all canadian women who fought for their status. We have come a long way and we deserve to be able to live in this country without fearing criminal forces to attack women of all religions, ethnicity, status in Canada. He is a wolf among the lambs.

Am I being clear in my statement? Basically, I will be watching this man like a hawk. I will bring awareness around this decision and this man and I will ask Canadian women to rise up and demand his resignation. If, by any chance, he would decide to decline this position, he would show how much he loves this country and understand our values. He then could work hard to convince canadians that he is a true canadian, respecting our moral laws, our spiritual laws and our prime values of Canada and would be ready to run for election in his riding, this time showing how a leader works.

I am respectfully asking you to replace Omar Alghabrah with someone who has demonstrated allegiance to this country, who is capable of speaking on behalf of ALL Canadians and does not have ties with terrorist groups.
