Your comment, Daniel, is well-put. As far as Muslims "facing discrimination", the following suffices to set the matter into context:

For every Obama website praising Muslims for their patient endurance of discrimination, there ought therefore to be at least three such websites praising Jews. I dare say, this is not the case.

I don't think that the US Government, US Academia, the US Press, etc. seriously believe their BS about how "American" Muslims are, and how "Muslim" America is. Islam -- not just the extremists who go about blowing up innocent Americans, but the doctrine of Islam itself -- is diametrically opposed to the values this country was founded on. They do not believe in the Bible, as the Pilgrims did; they do not believe in freedom of religion, as Roger Williams did; they do not believe in democracy, as the colonial New Englanders did. Islam, as explicitly spelled out in Qur'an, is about worldwide domination of all others by non-Christian, anti-democratic religious bigots like Muhammed and his companions. That ought to be plainly evident to anyone who has bothered to read even a few suras of the Muslim Unholy Book.

The motive behind the nonesense you mention is not promotion of Islam, something which, in practice, is absolutely abhorrent to the people putting out this propaganda. This is not a promotion of Islam, but an attack on the God of the Bible: The God of truth, whom liars hate; the God of rightiousness, whom corrupt people hate; the God of purity, whom the unclean hate. It is a covert hate crime, presented as political correctness. The intended victims are Christians and Jews, who suffer because of it.
