Can Egypt and Ethiopia Share the NileReader comment on item: Can Egypt and Ethiopia Share the Nile? Submitted by Arnold Falk (Switzerland), Feb 18, 2016 at 09:07 My first thoughts when reading this piece were of Churchill's "The River War", about the retaking of Khartoum. And then further, of Israel's technology for reducing water requirements for agriculture and major inhabited areas. I would say the Egyptians, unless they want to fight, need to do some deals with the Israelis...who have solved their water problems through ingenuity. Let's not forget the possible role in Egypt of high efficiency desalination plants, also an Israeli specialty.
