Black Africans in Muslim Countries

This reader is right on target. People who believe that Islam treats Black Africans better than Christianity does either do not know African and Middle Eastern history; are in denial, or are true believers who accept uncritically dogmas taught in their culture/religion. Nominal Christian societies/nations have been brutal and cruel to Black Africans and other non-European peoples for five centuries. Nonetheless, a black African who practices a native religion, or who is an atheist is much better off --with regards to freedom, dignity and opportunity for self-improvement--in a majority Christian country than in a majority Muslim country--North African, Middle Eastern or Asian.
