US END AID TO ISRAELReader comment on item: End U.S. Aid to Israel Submitted by Rafi (United States), Jul 27, 2016 at 11:50 To avoid what appears to be an increase in pressure from future Democratic Presidents, Israel should consider reducing the amount of military aid it gets from the US. That does not mean the end of joint exercises or Israeli purchases of US equipment. In addition, Israel should seek out other military suppliers. India would be an excellent choice. There is already a well-established high level amount of cooperation and assistance between the two countries which have mutual concerns in the region. Plus, India has a highly developed high tech and military production capacity which would benefit from further Israeli activity. This would lead to reduced US and EU pressure on Israel as she develops closer relations with countries in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
