It's Not About The Money - It's About Loyalty In Spite of the Money

Reader comment on item: End U.S. Aid to Israel

Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Aug 10, 2016 at 15:50

Ever since the recognition of Israel as a reborn state in 1948 by the United States, the rest of the world has struggled from that time until now to fully realize what is truly at stake; a world that struggles with approaching peace amongst a global leadership that still has no clue as to why Israel remains at the center of controversy for the most significant of any humanitarian issues. For Israel, it is about survival in an era where if Israel were to 'disappear,' who would mourn?

Conversely, it is plain that Israel is not about to go anywhere; indeed, if anything, the evidences are that Israel will survive where many national entities will not, the United Nations antipathies notwithstanding. So then the question is begged: if this is really true and bare evidence indicates that it is true; then why would be any discussion or even question that any alliance with Israel is any less beneficial?

Israel may be at the center of such controversies for a reason; and any nation contending with the issues of alliance or discontinuation of assistance at a governmental level should reexamine its foreign policy with Israel. To lose Israel as an ally is not so much for a geopolitical posturing reason, but for reasons of survival when the world finally implodes for the cause of the more pervasive attitudes as displayed by the 'Palestinian' interests and those who are fully intent on Israel's destruction.

From an American perspective, Israel does not exist under the graces of American defensive postures and financial support, as fully as that may seem to be the case; but America continues for the moment to function where she does because of her current support of Israel's existence. If America does not support Israel in every circumstance as the world is targeting Israel in companionship with the Iranian regime or any other enemy of Israel, Israel will still be protected militarily and financially while America disappears into the fog of the dream's of the Candidate's father.
