Tough test for soft intellectualismReader comment on item: Department of Corrections (of Others' Factual Mistakes about Me) Submitted by Prashant, Dec 5, 2016 at 02:58 Dear Dr Pipes, Your reader Alan Meyer from Australia in his letter described the soft intellectualism of the Islamic (pseudo) scholars in Australia. .It is heartening to know that pseudo-scholars down under in Australia are no different from the pseudo-scholars up here. That covers the whole world for us. A lot of non-Muslim leftists also fall into the category of soft-intellectuals. Soft intellectuals survive because no one asks them the tough questions and no one challenges them for their biased and convenient stands. In every interview with an Islamic-apologist the question why they are so concerned about democracy in non-Islamic countries but do nothing about democracy in the Islamic theocracies must be asked. No Islamic apologist must be allowed to get away without answering this question. This simple question will expose their hypocrisy and, more importantly, it will bring the Islamic world one step closer to freedom of expression and thought. Soft intellectuals need to be publicly exposed. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
