Doesn't History Say No?

"I continue to see moderate Islam as the solution to radical Islam."

The Turks in Germany who are cheering the latest anti-Israel, anti-American movie -- were their fathers not "moderate" Muslims? The descendants of immigrants in the French banlieus -- were their fathers not "moderate" Muslims?

Why is it not more logical to hold the opinion that, now that Muslims in Germany and France possess numbers and organization, they are exerting themselves through violence or the threat of it to impose their value system upon everyone else? Islamist organizations only express their fear of a "Muslim Holocaust" or expulsion. None seem to fear a coming wave of moderate Islam.
