The three way option: Arab states, Israel, palestiniansReader comment on item: The Three-Way Option: Arab States, Israel, Palestinians Submitted by Frances Weingarten (Canada), Jan 25, 2017 at 13:54 This may sound like a good plan but I don't believe it's possible, unless through force and sanctions on the Palestinians. The Palestinians, as I'm sure you're aware, have neither the desire nor the intention of making peace with Israel nor of having a state in the area of Judea and Samaria. Their goal, based on their hatred of Israel and Jews, is to destroy all Jews and take the country for its own. The Palestinians are not looking for greater access to the labor market and their intransigence wouldn't change if they had this possibility. In addition, over the decades Palestinians, from early childhood, have been taught to hate and kill all Jews. This is seen at the summer camps, where small children are taught to shoot at targets representing Jews, given lessons in killing, fed false information as to who the Jews are and their desire to kill Palestinians. At present, Abbas couldn't even mention the possibility of peace with Israel for fear of losing his life should he do so. There is more, but the above paints the picture. Further, even should the concept proposed by Moshe Ya'alon be a possibility and a state could be realized, what would prevent Islamists, Islamic Jihad followers and others from infiltrating such a state and attacking Israel? The hub of the country and its airport are on the other side of the to-be state and totally vulnerable to attack. It is impossible that such a state should exist. The best plan I've thus far heard is that of Dr. Martin Sherman, who strongly believes that the Palestinians who wish to live better lives could be encouraged to leave and helped to make lives elsewhere and should be remunerated if willing to do so.
