The Muslim States Are Stuck in 1949, Or Maybe 649?

They sound like reasonable suggestions, but I'm afraid that the Muslim states will insist on the 1949 borders as a sine qua non, and that will be that. The borders they really want for Israel are the ones from 649, or whenever it was that the Muslim armies swept through the region and established Islamic rule.
