The failure of CVE to accomplish anything was its accomplishmentReader comment on item: A White House Initiative to Defeat Radical Islam Submitted by Bill Brewer, Feb 20, 2017 at 08:20 Liberals view themselves as omni-competent and thus smart enough to transform civilization with sweeping plans that overturn everything all at once. In seeking those ends, liberals tend to see all forms of radicalism (e.g., Islamic, gay marriage, Obamacare) as convenient tools to up-end the existing order-- remember how Robespierre justified terrorism as a useful tool for instilling "virtue" into the people. The true nature of radical forces such as Islamism, gay rights, Obamacare, "reparations," and on and on need to be obscured for them to effectively do their work. Thus the goal of CVE was to merely appear to be doing something about terrorism with ever actually accomplishing anything. Hiding the true nature of things was the goal and CVE did that very well.
