Only Messiah can fix the mess we've madeReader comment on item: The Threat of Radical Islam and the Future of the Eastern Mediterranean Submitted by Michael S, Mar 22, 2017 at 06:59 "Bible-believeing Christians in the UK?" What an interesting concept! I do know a few, but not many. Saying "Christ is the answer" probably sounds ridiculous to the children of Holocaust survivors, whose kin were persecuted and killed by zealous German "Christians". Wikipedia has someting of an apology on the matter: "According to Himmler biographer Peter Longerich, Himmler saw a main task of the SS to be that of "acting as the vanguard in overcoming Christianity and restoring a Germanic way of living" as part of preparations for the coming conflict between "humans and subhumans".[40] Longerich wrote that, while the Nazi movement as a whole launched itself against Jews and Communists, "by linking de-Christianisation with re-Germanization, Himmler had provided the SS with a goal and purpose all of its own."[40] Himmler was vehemently opposed to Christian sexual morality and the "principle of Christian mercy", both of which he saw as a dangerous obstacle to his planned battle with "subhumans".[40] In 1937, he said that the movement was an era of the "ultimate conflict with Christianity" and that "It is part of the mission of the SS to give the German people in the next half century the non-Christian ideological foundations on which to lead and shape their lives."[41]" -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideology_of_the_SS#Attitude_toward_religion. You used the words "Christ" and "Ha Mashiach", but didn't note that the two have an identical meaning to you (in their Greek and Hebrew renderings, respectively). That would clarify the fact, that you look forward to the coming of Messiah to set things right. This, of course, is the belief of some Jews as well, though they are looked upon as fringe neurotics by many Israelis (the term, "Messianic", as I understand, is used derisively for someone who is unrealistic and other-worldly). All that said, I agree with you: Only Messiah can set things straight; because we have made a terrible mess of things that we can't possibly fix on our own.
