Here is what they wantReader comment on item: What Do Terrorists Want? [A Caliphate and Shari'a] Submitted by No dhimmi (United States), Jul 28, 2005 at 20:26 Mohammed,You asked that I cite sources. The source I am using is Ahmad ibn Naqib al-Masir's "Reliance of the Traveller" A Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law as compiled by Nu Min Ha Keller This text of sacred islamic law has been approved by the following: 'Abd al-Wakil Durubi Imam of the Mosque of Darwish Pasha Damascus, Syria Nuh 'Ali Salman Mufti of the Jordanian Armed Forces Dr. Taha Jabir al-'Alwani President of the International Institute of Islamic Thought Member of Islamic Fiqh Academy of Jedda President of the Fiqh Council of North America Fath Allah Ya Sin Jazar General Director of Research, Writing, and Translation Islamic Research Academy Al-Azhar University, Cairo Egypt I am citing Jihad o9.0 to begin with it. It states "Jihad means to war against non-muslims, and is etymologically derived from the word "mujahada," signifying warfare to establish the religion. And it is the lesser jihad. As for the greater jihad, it is spiritual warfare against the lower self (nafs)." It states further "The spiritual basis for jihad, prior to scholarly consesus is such Koranic verses as: 1. "Fighting is prescribed for you" (2:216) 2. "Slay them wherever you find them" (4:89) 3. "Fight the idolators utterly" (9:36) and such hadiths as the one related by Bukhari and Muslim that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no God but Allah and Muhammed is the Messanger of Allah, and perform the prayer, and pay zakat. If they say it, they have saved their blood and possessions from me, except for the rights of Islam over them. And their final reckoning is with Allah." The Objective of Jihad o9.8 The caliph makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zorastrians. (N: provided he has first invited them to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of islam by paying the non-muslim poll tax (jizya) - WHICH IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THEIR PAYING IT (see Qur'anic verse below), NOT THE MONEY ITSELF - while remaining in their ancestral religion) (O: AND THE WAR CONTINUES) UNTIL THEY BECOME MUSLIM OR ELSE PAY THE NON-MUSLIM poll tax. "Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messanger have forbidden - who do not practice the religion of truth, being those who have been give the Book (Christians and Jews) - until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled." (9:29) Jizya and Zakat do not return to the non-muslims. It is used by the State or given to the muslim poor and needy. h8.24 "It is not permissible to give zakat to a non-muslim, or to someone whom is obliged to support (m12.1) such as a wife or family member." There is a famous quote from the American Revolution. It was heard at the Boston Tea Party. As the "dhimmi's" or Colonist poured England's tea into the Sea they were heard to say "NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION." The Rules of Warfare o9.10 It is not permissible (A: in jihad) to kill woman or children UNLESS they are fighting against the muslims. Nor is it permissible to kill animals, unless they are being ridden into battle against muslims, or if killing them will help defeat the enemy. It IS permissible to kill old men (O: old man (shaykh) meaning someone more than forty years of age) and monks. Hmmmm.......I keep hearing CAIR and ISNA and MSA saying that killing women and children is not islamic. Let's see what Islamic Law says about Dhimmi's. o11.0 A formal agreement of protection is made with citizens who are: Jews, Christians, and Zorastrians. o11.3 Such an agreement is only valid when the subject peoples: (a) follow the rules of Islam and those involving public behavior and dress, though in acts of worship and their private lives, the subject communities have their own laws, judges, and courts, enforcing the RULES of their own religion among themselves.) (b) and pay the non-muslim poll tax (jizya) o11.5 Such non-muslim subjects are obliged to comply with Islamic rules that pertain to the safety and indemnity of life, reputation, and property. In addition, they: (1) are penalized from committing adultery (DEATH) or theft (HAND AMPUTATED), though not for drunkenness (FLOGGING); (2) are distinguished from muslims in dress, wearing a wide cloth belt (zunnar). Didn't someone name Hitler distiguish a certain class of people in a similar way? (3) are not greeted with 'as-Salamu 'alaykum; (4) may not build higher than or as high as the muslim buildings, though if acquire, it is not razed; (5) are forbidden to openly display wine or pork (A: to ring church bells or display crosses,) recite the Torah or Evangel aloud, or make public display of their funerals or feastdays; (6) and are FORBIDDEN TO BUILD NEW CHURCHES. o11.11 When a subject's agreement with the state has been violated, the caliph chooses between the four alternatives mentioned in connection with prisoners of war. Those are: o9.14 When an adult male is taken captive, the caliph considers the interests (O: of Islam and the muslims) and decides between the PRISONER'S DEATH, slavery, release without paying anything, or ransoming himself in exchange for money or for a muslim captive held by the enemy. Here is the fate of women and children captive. o9.13 When a child or a woman is taken captive, they become slaves by the fact of capture, and the woman's previous marriage is immediately annulled. BASICALLY IT MEANS THE MUSLIM SOLDIER CAN HAVE SEX WITH HER by becoming her concubine, she and children are booty. With the help of Bat Yo'er's scholarship on dhimmitude, let's look at a few examples of how "protected people" were so well treated. On July 22, 1860, Consul James Zohrab sent a lengthy report from Bosna-Serai (Sarajevo) to his ambassador in Constantinople, Sir Henry Bulwer, in which he analyzed the administration of the provinces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stated that from 1463 to 1850 the Bosniac Muslims enjoyed all the privileges of feudalism: "During a period of nearly 300 years Christians were subjected to much oppression and cruelty. For them no other law but the caprice of their masters existed." Here we should remember the devshirme system, which is well known. Initiated by the Ottoman Sultan Orkhan (1326-1359), it existed for about 300 years. It consisted of a regular levy of Christian children from the Christian population of the Balkans. These youngsters, aged from fourteen to twenty, were Islamized and enslaved for military purposes. The periodic levies, which took place in contingents of a thousand, subsequently became annual. To discourage runaways, children were transferred to remote provinces and entrusted to Muslim masters, soldiers who treated them harshly, as slaves. Another parallel recruitment system operated: It provided for the levy of Christian children aged six to ten (ichoghlani), reserved for the sultan's palace. Entrusted to eunuchs, they underwent a tyrannical training for fourteen years. In Africa, a system of enslaving Black Christian and Animist children, similar to the devshirme existed, as is shown from documents to be published in my book. A sort of devshirme system still exists today in the Sudan and has been described and denounced by the United Nations Special Rapporteur Mr Gaspar Biro in his 1994 report, and by an article in The Times of London (Sudanese Christians 'sold as slaves', August 25, 1995) Ladies and Gentleman, what communism was to the 20th Century, Islam is to the 21st Century. The truth is this is not a war on terrorism. It is a war of ideology, Democracy and Freedom vs. Islam. The acts of terrorism are a means, a tool. The end is not getting the infidel out of the middle east or resolving the Palestinian-Isreali issue or punishing Spain or England for their involvement in Irak. The violence will not end even when these issue are resolved. Al-Qaeda, Jemmah Ismalayia, Muslim Brotherhood, and those new organizations that subscribe to Al-Qaeda's goals will not stop. It goes much deeper than that and it is summed up in the quote by the great 14th Century muslim historian Ibn Khaldun. "In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the (Muslim) mission and (the obligation) to convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force. Therefore, caliphate and royal authority are united (in Islam), so that the person in charge can devote the available strength to both of them (religion and politics) at the same time". One world religion (Islam), one leader (Caliphate), and one system of law (Sharia). So Mohammed, when can we sit down and have a conversation about why Islam wants to rule the world? I won't be wearing a zunnar. No dhimmi Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
