Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research PollReader comment on item: Poll: Israelis Want Victory Submitted by PezDispenser (Israel), Aug 1, 2017 at 14:02 http://www.timesofisrael.com/peace-prospects-faltering-poll-finds-recognition-could-change-minds/ "Incentives have the potential to change Palestinians' minds, too, the survey found. Nearly a third (32%) of Palestinian respondents who at first rejected a peace deal on the aforementioned terms said they could be persuaded if Israel were to apologize for the suffering of Palestinian refugees. An even larger share, 42%, would rethink their opposition to the peace agreement if Israel recognized the "Arab-Islamic character" of Palestine." Any thoughts on this poll, especially in comparison to the recent Israel Victory poll? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. It's hard for me to make sense of the first element - that an apology would so much change the mood. The second one makes more sense, for it concedes that Israel is but a Crusader-like temporary state. Reader comments (21) on this item
