.Well a wonderful Egyptian ex-Muslim atheist told me and I'm paraphrasing that most Muslims have no idea about what is in their books It could be because of the prevalence of illiteracy in Muslim countries and most Muslims do not speak read or write Arabic

She also said that those few Muslims that take the time and read the Qur'an and literary sources external to the Qur'an end by either becoming jihadists and terrorists or they leave Islam and never look back
