Is victory possible ?Reader comment on item: President Trump's "Ultimate Deal": Is Israeli-Palestinian Peace Possible? Submitted by Lars Nielsen (Denmark), Jan 16, 2018 at 03:41 Mr. Pipes has for some time advocated the idea, that peace is only possible, when palestinians give up their hope of revenge. As long as the palestinians are backed by the arab states and Iran, they have a chance to win. So therefore Israel first must convince the arabs and Iran to give up backing the palestinians. But how ? May be mr. Pipes will comment on that ? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: No doubt, encouragement from the outside world, especially the Middle East, has helped keep Palestinian delusion alive. But, faced with stark realities, I do believe that international succor counts for little. Reader comments (14) on this item
