Illusion of Peace.

You are absolutely right. Peace between Israel and it's Muslim neighbours is an illusion. Israel would do well to study the history of the Crusades. None of the peace agreements made by the Kingdom of Jerusalem with their Muslim foes lasted for any length of time. The Muslim states regarded these peace agreements as just a stepping stone towards their objective of eradicating the Christian presence from the Holy Land, which they eventually achieved in 1291 with the fall of Acre. Even after this the Muslims continued their war against Christendom, invading Europe the following century.
It might be a good idea for Daniel Pipes to conduct a poll among readers of Middle East Forum. The question should be: "Do you favour Israeli implementation of The Myanmar Option?" (ie, the removal of all Muslims from Israel, Judea-Samaria and Gaza). The result will be very interesting.
