Reader comment on item: L.A.'s Thwarted Terror Spree

Submitted by J.S. (Canada), Sep 8, 2005 at 17:03

I'm not so certain about any "golden age" for Jews in Canada...but could not one argue that a foiled terrorist plot "master-minded" by a lunatic-criminal fringe group (reminiscent of a Nation of Islam group) - a good thing? If Islamists are going to be going no where fast in the United States (have zero chance of prestige or power or influence), well isn't the best thing that they can do is associate themselves with the Nation of Islam? )... Doesn't that illustrate just how marginal they are? ...

What I *am* worried about is Canada -- and it's not about the KKK or the Nation of Islam or some lunatic fringe group -- my worry is with *mainstream* threats.

Think about the inroads, the unabashed achievements made by Islamist polemicists/propagandists. They are to be found everywhere in mainstream Canadian society -- they are in our education system, our academies, our media, our political parties, our so-called human rights groups...They are powerful -- not marginalized.

I have never, EVER heard in the Canadian media any Islamist calling for the destruction of the state of Israel being called a "racist." Elmasry (the head of the largest Muslim organization in Canada) can advocate for the dismissal of Jews serving in Canada's government so that they can be replaced by Muslims; can call for the murder of any Israeli over the age of 18; can happily justify the introduction of Sharia family law courts into Ontario; etc, etc., and NOT EVER be accused by "journalists" at the CBC, "journalists" of the Globe and Mail, or "journalists" of the Toronto Star, of promoting "racism," "sexism" or even "extremism." O, heaven forbid!! Elmasry is exempt and above criticism! He's of "special status."

And the only people who are labelled by the Candian media as "racists" -- are (and I have heard this repeatedly by the CBC) George W. Bush, Tony Blair, Samuel Huntington (as a university professor he had the termerity to state that "Islam has bloody borders" and for this statement of fact was immediately labled "racist!) and many, many others who we all well know. Calling people "racists" -- or making up lies to support bogus claims -- is a routine pastime here in Canada.

Yet, while all these false charges and malicious lies are spread ("crosses are burning on lawns while I speak!!" another Liberal lie by our multi-culti cult leader), the REAL racism (the kind spread by the likes of Elmasry) goes unabated. I recall a CBC interviewer giving a very sympathetic (if not enthusiastic) response to an Egyptian who claimed that the UN sponsored Durban Conference in 2001 (that this antisemtic, racist fiasco) was a rousing success and "therapeutic". Yes, indeed, since when is it "therapeutic" for the antisemites to gather at a hate fest and vent themselves? Or, other journalists praising Hezbollah -- (Dec. 14, 2002 on the CBC program "World This Weekend" ) Evan Dyer alleged that Hezbollah abides by International Law (yes, that was this "journalist's" analysis) -- if true a rather sorry statement on the state of International Law, but I suspect yet another false claim by our publicly funded media. To listen to the CBC one would have to conclude that Hamas and Hezbollah are humanitarian aid organizations out to do good deeds, Hamas the equivalent of Amnesty International and Al-Jazeera, Osama's terrorist mouth-piece, just another Arab CNN. Ridiculous -- yet this is what so many Canadians seem to believe.. and what exists in Canada...we are in such a state of dhimmitude...it's horrific...
