There is a third opion, and many Arab states are in favour of the annexation.Reader comment on item: What Would Ben-Gurion Do? Submitted by Leslie Satenstein (Canada), May 28, 2020 at 19:51 I am a Canadian, and far from knowing the day to day politics of the region. It has been said that the Arab states around Israel are more afraid of Hezbolah than they are of Israel. They fear that Palestinians == Hezbolah==Iran if Israel cannot annex Judea and and Samaria, Allowing the Palestinians to control Israel from completing the biblical land annexation would prevent Israel's from being whole and close to the original British assigned size. This land and the existing on where Israel is today was promised by the British, before the Brits reneged and gave Israel, a sliver of land, ahd the large part to Jordan. The intent was that with that sliver the Brits expected Israel would be swallowed up. It is also time to realize that the Palestinians whittled away their chances at having a sovereign state. Sovereignty should have happened with Arafat, but corruption, power, kinglike living stopped the leadership from moving forward. Now it is too late. If Israel does not get Judea and Samaria, you will see Iran and Hezbola coming and thousands of Palestinians fleeing to Jordan, and becoming the majority of Jordan's religious population.
