What would Ben Gurion doReader comment on item: What Would Ben-Gurion Do? Submitted by Alex Baldor (Canada), May 28, 2020 at 22:23 I am definitely not a fan of Ben Gurion in particular because of his hostility to Zeev Jabotinski and his shameless treacherous cooperation with the British occupying force in Palestine against the true Jewish freedom fighters Etzel and Lechi that eventually forced the British to give up the mandate thus enabling the declaration of state of Israel. It is interesting that among the guests that participated in the declaration of state of Israel in Tel Aviv the person that contributed the most for that to happen Menachem Begin was not invited. As to what would Ben Gurion do as I remember following the Sinai Campaign in 1956-57 when the IDF conquered Gaza and there was a question if hold on to that Ben Gurion said that Israel does not need half a million Arabs and forced the evacuation of Gaza.
