Fulfilling the Heritage of Joy - Ben-Gurion's LegacyReader comment on item: What Would Ben-Gurion Do? Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Jun 4, 2020 at 00:23 That a question of destiny would come from such a place as this in Europe speaks to the circumstances of the fulfillment in the rebirth of Israel; that of the many places on earth where the children of Israel were displaced, coming from here is mused about in Isaiah's call to come home in chapter 66,verse 8. Ben-Gurion was merely an attendant, a doting grandfather officiating over the offspring of his dreams and expressing that great joy of the moment. It lays to the successors of that time, that in the lifetime of another (over seventy years and counting)the succession of joy is to be expressed when it is fully consummated, as Isaiah continues in his prophetic fulfillment of Jerusalem's and Israel's national joy.
